Earned Income Plan
Project details
What we need
- Assessment and recommendations for income-generating activities that will complement the Organization's current mission and existing programs
- Actionable steps necessary to implement recommendations, alongside estimates of upfront time and monetary investment required
- Challenges and potential risks identified in pursuing the plan
What we have in place
- We currently have income-generating, totally awesome thrift stores, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have tons of volunteers, lots of product, integrated and impactful programs, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,794 , allowing us to increase our marketing and on-line sales so that we can focus on providing local impact to struggling familes.
We need help marketing stuff (literally stuff). Our thrift stores generate 1/3 of our total revenues. We know we can increase sales but need help finding new markets and uses for our donated products. The Thrift Stores are a point-of-contact for donors and clients and we hire local folks... it provides a rigorous feedback loop for all of our programs.
Yet- we have great items left over with no market... Who can we sell to? new clothes, fancy china, vintage bags, working dishwashers... we need help with Craigslist, Ebay, and any other on-line tools to increase sales and prevent waste.
