Salesforce Database Customization

Project details

What we need
  • A Salesforce database including: a customized set of Salesforce objects, single-record editing of data and field history tracking (up to 15 object types), a customized set of views to allow table-based editing of data (up to 15 views), a customized set of reports to pull data from multiple object types (up to 15 reports)
  • Migration of Organization's current database to Salesforce
  • Training for designated staff member on new objects, reports and views
  • “Hand-off” documentation on the object schemas and any custom code
What we have in place
  • We have been working tirelessly to clean all our data and format it for easy import into the Salesforce platform. We have also attended Salesforce training so that 2 people on our team are versed in the language of the platform. We have laid out a timeline, with all the steps needed to successfully complete the project. Lastly, we have allocated a substantial amount of one staff member's time over the next couple of months to support in the completion of this process.
How this will help
This project will save us $22,852 , allowing us to fund free admission to our annual civic engagement event, empowering 20 California youth.

An efficient database is critical to every non-profit. As a small non-profit, we have been "making it work" using a range of patchwork systems, but we are growing in size, fundraising and programming, which means a functional and holistic database is critical to our success. This project will help us organize and reach our donors, volunteers and constituents in a whole new way which means that we will be able to impact more adults, children and youth in California through our programs.

CalSAC helps build an out-of-school time workforce that is filled with strong mentors and highly skilled practitioners who reflect the communities they serve. Through collaboration and innovation, our network creates ripple effects of opportunity, equity and transformation throughout California, both for professionals and the young people they serve.
