What we have in place
- We currently have a logo, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have access to design tools, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to have a greater impact on the community we serve (more learners).
We are celebrating our 40th anniversary and have a big annual fundraiser...it would be great to freshen up the branding across the board.
Project plan
Our mission
The Oakland Literacy Council believes that all people have a fundamental right to literacy. With support from our funders, we pair trained, compassionate tutors with adult learners until they become proficient readers, writers, and communicators. As literate adults, they make our communities and our democracy stronger. They contribute to our economy, exercise their voice in their communities, and give their children a solid educational foundation. The Oakland Literacy Council is the only organization dedicated solely to ending adult illiteracy in Oakland County, a large metro Detroit community of 1.25 million people.
What we do
We help low-literate adults with reading, writing, English comprehension and speaking, and digital literacy skills. One on one tutors, online curriculum, and small group instruction is used to further student goals.
