What we need
  • Ongoing web development support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: website maintenance, updates or improvements
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details

We want to develop a very simple website for a campaign on private jets. There used to be one, which was lost due to losing contact with the person who was responsible for the hosting. But because it existed, there are already graphic materials and also some snapshots available though "way back machine".

What we have in place
  • We currently have already bought the domain, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have graphic materials and snapshots from the previous website, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,757 , allowing us to put more effort into support direct action groups to achieve high results locally and also put more effort into international press work to boost the impact of the actions further.

This will be the website for an action campaign targeting private jets. This campaign works with international decentralised days/weeks of direct action, so it's super important to have a website we can point people towards, which gathers the international demands of the campaign, tracks the actions and presents all the information in one place.

Our mission

STAY GROUNDED is a global network of more than 150 local airport opposition groups, climate justice activists, NGOs, trade unionists, academics, groups supporting alternatives to aviation like night trains, and organisations supporting communities which struggle against offset projects or biofuel plantations. We aim to exchange experiences, support each other, and campaign together for a reduction of aviation and its negative impacts. We also engage in fighting problematic climate strategies like offsetting emissions and biofuels. Our vision is a form of mobility that rests inside the planetary boundaries and is not at the expense of others.
