What we need
  • A 4-week content calendar for one social media platform, including graphics & copy (12-20 posts, or as agreed upon by both parties)
  • A content calendar template that can be used to plan out posts in the future
Additional details

Black in Mayberry is currently seeking a Social Media Volunteer to assist us in creating and scheduling posts for our upcoming events. If you're passionate about using social media for positive change and want to support our mission of combating racism through the arts, we'd love to have your help! We social media content creation using the assets that we provide and also content scheduling in Later. If you are able to assist with a content calendar template that would be a bonus.

What we have in place
  • We currently have images, videos, information and an outline of upcoming event, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have canva, later, social media platforms set up,, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to this will allows the ability to reserve funds for our summer youth program.

Having a social media volunteer is crucial to helping us achieve our goals at Black in Mayberry. Social media is a powerful tool for spreading awareness and engaging with our community. With a dedicated volunteer managing our social media presence, we can reach a wider audience, attract more participants to our events, and ultimately have a greater impact in combating racism through the arts. The volunteer's efforts will directly contribute to our mission by helping us connect with supporters.

  • Volunteer Manager shares social media credentials and existing marketing materials with Professional
  • (If applicable) Professional audits existing social media account to determine which content types are performing best
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss & agree upon target audiences, content types, and posting frequency

Milestone 1: Calendar Structure Creation
  • Professional uses Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, or comparable software to set up content calendar structure
  • Volunteer Manager reviews and provides feedback, which Professional incorporates

  • Volunteer Manager shares raw materials (photos, quotes, stories, etc) that Professional needs to create content
  • Professional creates up to 4 weeks’ worth of social media posts (approximately 12-20 posts) and inputs into calendar
  • Volunteer Manager reviews and provides feedback, which Professional incorporates

(Optional) Milestone 3: Content Scheduling / Software Setup
  • Professional connects Organization’s social media account to a scheduling software like Buffer or Hootsuite
  • Professional sets up and schedules up to 4 weeks of posts in scheduling software
