Event Concept & Plan
Event Concept & Plan
Project details
What we need
- 3-5 one hour calls with an events professional covering topics like concept, general structure, logistics, and target attendees
- A written summary of topics discussed, including event concept and theme, general plan, estimated budget (optional), and articulated goals (feel free to use this template as a starting point)
- Note: This project does not include on-site event coordination or support on the day of the event
Additional details
I am in a new role as Development Director at a small nonprofit. I have moved from other roles within the agency, but this is my first time in a position that requires event management, building up our base of regular donors and other avenues for sustainability. We have a large fundraising event scheduled for November. I'd appreciate assistance making sure all our bases are covered!
What we have in place
- I have a fundraising committee that has helped to create a foundation for the event. I would like assistance in assuring that all my bases are covered and we don't leave out any important details. I have worked in hospitality and have a background in working events.
As a new development director, I am trying to develop a framework for development at our agency that is transferable to the next person someday.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to provide more funds to assist with our core mission and reduce homelessness and provide security for returned citizens in our community.
We are attempting to build our reserve funds for a future capital campaign and to provide unrestricted funding for years it is more difficult to obtain grant funding.

Washtenaw County to attain their goals and become productive, valued members of our community. We do this by providing intensive one-on-one and group mentoring, positive social connections, and vital support services.
