Our mission

Milwaukee Christian Center is a multi-service organization that works to build strong neighborhoods full of opportunity. We approach that work through four core areas: housing, youth development, older adults, and food security - serving over 7,500 people each year. What began with American Baptist roots providing outreach to immigrants on Milwaukee's south side in 1921, MCC now serves youth, families, and older adults of all races, ethnicities, religions, and ages throughout the city of Milwaukee.

What we do

We approach our work through four core areas: housing, youth development, older adults, and food security - serving over 7,500 people each year.

Youth Development - Young people deserve opportunities to fulfill their potential. MCC empowers over 1,500 young people, ages 4-24, to succeed in school, the workplace, and our community.

Housing - Strong neighborhoods offer safe, affordable housing for all neighbors. MCC makes homeownership possible by building new homes, making needed repairs for low-income homeowners, and training young adults in the trades.

Older Adults - Strong neighborhoods honor and care for their elders. MCC offers older adults opportunities to remain healthy, in their homes, and vitally connected to the community.

Food Security - Strong neighborhoods have access to healthy food. MCC provides food security to 5,600 individuals annually.

Muskego Way Forward Initiative - Our work to build strong neighborhoods full of opportunity can be seen in Muskego Way where Muskego Way Forward has strengthened the neighborhood, created new connections and opportunities, and built on the leadership of dedicated residents. This work is resident driven, staffed and supported by Milwaukee Christian Center.
