What we need
- An organized and edited press kit for your Organization that contains and consolidates key media assets, such as: Your organization's backgrounder (an “about us" page), short biographies of senior staff, FAQs and an organizational fact sheet, logo(s) and other visual branding assets, relevant press release(s) and related media coverage, and contact information
- Recommendation(s) for how to share the event in the media (if applicable)
- Note: This project does not include writing materials or creating visual assets from scratch
Language proficiency requirements
English and Spanish proficiency is required. You will not be able to apply if you do not meet this requirement. Learn more about language proficiency requirements.
Additional details
Earth Law Center has a badly outdated press kit that needs redoing. We have updated materials ready for the new one. Looking for help finalizing materials selection and getting it compiled professionally.
What we have in place
- We currently have a full time operations manager as a contact person, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have several fluent Spanish speakers on staff, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,852 , allowing us to devote more resources directly to our environmental law work.
We receive regular media contacts, and amplification through environmental journalism is critical to our work and fundraising efforts.

Our mission
Earth Law Center catalyzes a global movement to rebalance the human-Nature relationship.
We do this by working to make ELC a household name, expanding the body of Earth Law, and providing tools for judges and lawyers to analyze in decisions affecting the natural environment.
What we do
Our continued well being depends on a paradigm shift in law from a human based one to a nature based one so ecological communities can regenerate and thrive.
This includes a wide range of activities from researching and writing part of an amendment being considered by the Oaxaca Parliament for rights of rivers, to Amicus Briefs (12+ submitted since 2018). This includes the first Earth Law textbook in the world, published by Wolters Kluwer as well as Earth Law frameworks for rivers, marine protected areas and communities.
Catchafire volunteers form a core part of ELC's volunteer leaders, and we've completed over 100+ projects. So thank you Catchafire!!!
