- Guidelines for hiring process, including order and number of interview rounds, reference checks, and general best practices for an inclusive interview
- Effective interviewing techniques and clear, consistent standards for evaluating candidates
- Tips for negotiating details such as compensation package and title

What we have in place
- We currently have the budget to make the hires, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a good sense of where the gaps are in the org, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,806 , allowing us to save the money to actually spend on the new hires!
We have struggled to bring in the support of fulltime (or 20+ hr contractors) to help us take the org to the next level. We are looking for someone who likes working with early nonprofits on building the hiring strategy and then ACTUALLY implementing it

Our mission
The Takeoff Institute is on a mission to democratize resources, mentorship and financial literacy for the black undergraduate population. We are built for black people, by black people, and have a deep understanding of the skills and training necessary to equip the future leaders of America that exist across our community. Our goal is to have every black student use this platform at some point in their academic journey, and return to it someday attesting that they built skills along the way that mattered greatly in the real world.
