What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
What we have in place
- We currently have an employee an employee handbook and policies available, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff devoted to this project, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to allocate the funds towards are families and students working to improve reading & language skills, get their GED, prepare for school, and provide emergency funds.
At the Literacy Coalition, we want to update and improve our employee handbook to maintain compliance, have clear expectations for employees, and provide clear guidance on policies and procedures.

Our free adult, career, and family education programs aim to ensure that everyone has access to opportunities to thrive.
When individuals learn how to read, write, do basic math, improve their English skills, and learn how to use computers, they gain the power to lift themselves out of poverty, find sustainable employment, and help their children succeed in school. Literacy changes lives!
