Project details

What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

Our organization is looking for a talented-web designer with Wordpress experience who can help us merge our Union.fit website. This right volunteer is a true problem-solver, fast-paced and creative. We hope to provide our students with UF class offerings so they don't have to leave our WP site.

What we have in place
  • We currently have A Wordpress site and Union.fit setup, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have the person who developed both sites, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to reach more of our constituents.

Our class offerings are the bulk of our community engagement in addition to a new venture we're undertaking. We hope to reach more people through our site and make it efficient.

Prep: Share Scope of Changes
  • Volunteer Manager shares link to existing website with Professional
  • Volunteer Manager provides list of required updates to make (including sharing content or image assets, as necessary)
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Milestone 1: Kick-Off Meeting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss requested updates, and agree on a project timeline
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with credentials to access the website admin portal

Milestone 2: Review Updates
  • Professional makes the requested updates to the website (if available, the changes should be made in a test or development environment first)
  • Volunteer Manager reviews each update, and reports any remaining issues to the Professional

Milestone 3: Implementation of Updates
  • Professional implements updates to the live website
  • Professional troubleshoots any issues that may arise immediately after implementing changes on the live site
