What we'd like to talk about

We plan to hire an employee (on our staff) as Director of Operations for a new, separate, NGO that we serve as fiscal agent. We need help developing the contract/agreement.

Additional context

Renewing the Countryside serves as fiscal agent for a new organization, an incubator farm for farmers of African descent that has not yet gained its 501c3 status. They have two years of funding to provide for a Director of Operations to help them incorporate and grow. As fiscal agent, we receive and manage the funds. We have agreed that this new position will be on our staff, with our benefits, etc. but will work for and report to the board and founder at Kilimo MN. We need help creating the contract or MOU to define this arrangement. Are there other considerations we should make before moving forward with this plan?

"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.

Our mission

Renewing the Countryside strengthens rural areas by championing and supporting rural communities, farmers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators, activists, and other people who are renewing the countryside through sustainable and innovative initiatives, businesses, and projects.

We do this by sharing stories of rural renewal, building awareness and support for sustainable endeavors, connecting people interested in sustainable rural development to each other, providing practical assistance and networking opportunities for those working to improve rural America, and fostering connections between urban and rural people.
