Additional details
We have multiple social media channels (FB/IG/X/LinkedIn/YouTube/TickTock and are doing our best to communicate on them. We are an established nonprofit who is the leader in SCN8A family support and research. We have some engagement from our families, we have evergreen some video and photo content, but more importantly, we get enough engagement from our families that we are able to keep telling stories. Lastly, we have a TON of actual content about SCN8A science, research, and family support.
What we have in place
- We currently have Metricool as our social media management tool, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have content to review for strategies for publication, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to better target our people on social media thereby increasing engagement and the ultimate goal is to get people from social media onto our mailing list and to hopefully inspire them to become donors.
This project is vital in helping us best communicate with our people on social media with a strategy for growth. The work we do is vital and potentially life changing. It's about spreading awareness to our SCN8A families about how to best care for their loved ones with SCN8A and it's about spreading awareness in general for our rare disorder. With less that 1,000 diagnosed cases globally since the gene was discovered to cause epilepsy in 2012, it can be challenging to raise awareness.

Our core mission is to improve the lives of developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE) families by implementing cutting-edge programs and research. We collaborate with families, researchers, clinicians, and industry partners across the globe to more rapidly find answers.
