Project details

What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

Our large and complex website (launched in 2016) was in the middle of a major backend transition from an old WP system to the new "blocks" CMS when our web company folded. We want to complete and clean up the migration of the remaining content into this more user-friendly CMS so that our team can easily update and maintain the site without coding or knowledge of outmoded Word Press systems. We are also open to suggestions on improving our integrations for ease of use by our team.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a style guide, plus all media/content from the old site, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Communications Director who can help, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to spend more of our energy on our advocacy campaigns and tending our land-based center.

We are a small non-profit with a complex audience. This will help our team be more self sufficient and not rely on a programmer to make basic changes to the website in the future.

Our mission

OAEC cultivates ecological literacy and builds the capacity of civic and social movement leaders and organizations to guide their own communities to an ecologically regenerative, economically viable, and socially just future.

Inspired by Nature, where diversity is a key indicator of the health of an ecosystem, we assist place-based communities in reorienting human economy and governance towards the restoration and stewardship of biological and cultural diversity. To realize our mission, we invest in projects and partnerships that address the root causes of the ecological, economic, and social crises of our time.
