What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)

Color A Smile is looking for an artist/illustrator to help design new coloring pages.
Color A Smile collects cheerful crayon drawings from people of all ages and abilities. Every month we mail the drawings to everyone on our mailing list. Most drawings go to nursing homes, hospitals and Meals on Wheels Programs. Some of our drawings go to our troops overseas. Usually our drawings are hung on refrigerator doors or bulletin boards.

What we have in place
  • We currently have examples and suggestions for designing new pages, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have in depth criteria for designing new pages, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to spread more smiles

The coloring pages are the center of our organization. The coloring pages will be colored by volunteers (kids, teens, adults) all across the country. We will then send these cheerful and colorful drawings to recipients (nursing homes, hospitals, meals on wheels programs, and our troops overseas) all across the country. We are looking for fun and cheerful designs that our volunteers will enjoy coloring and that in turn will put smiles on peoples faces.

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss goals, target audience, and how the illustration will be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional align expectations for the initial drawings and agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional drafts and presents three concepts for the Organization’s illustration
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a favorite concept and provides up to two rounds of feedback, which the Professional uses to refine the Illustration

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers a final version of the Illustration in digital form
