What we'd like to talk about
We are looking for inputs around how to build strategic sourcing relationships with manufacturers/online retailers. We source ~$300k in essential items through Amazon; want to access better prices.
Additional context
We're trying to get smart on how to do more strategic sourcing for the items that we provide to schools/nonprofits. Ideally to access wholesale/discounted prices. What options exist to source/ship directly from manufacturers? What volumes warrant setting up our own warehousing/distribution - or finding a 3PL provider? Given our fairly wide-ranging product requirements (from essential apparel like socks/underwear to home goods to hygiene items to shoes, coats, pants) would drop-shipping be an option? We'd love to connect with someone with supply chain expertise. Just to help us think through how to approach this. Thanks!
