Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
What we have in place
- We already have a main Wordpress website with static pages. We have a domain, and the ability to set up sub-domains for relational CMS databases. We have all the fields and content ready to be entered. We have a website designer who has designed all front-end pages, including forms.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to serve basic needs 9000000 patients.
Like every patient non-profit we need to provide resources for our patients to find physicians, support and treatments. We need four databases to help patients fulfill their basic needs. We are looking for someone who has experience in Joomla relational databases, and/or web 2.0. Some customizing will be necessary. The treatment database is modeled after askapatient.com. The doctor database is modeled after vitals.com. The support group database is a simple map and state listing. The volunteer/get help section is modeled after craigslist. Users and adminstrators should be able to input information.

Our mission
Our mission is to provide reliable information to patients, caregivers, and professionals. We seek to represent the patient voice, to channel patient perspectives to government agencies, committees and initiatives, and through regional and local groups, provide a platform where they can exchange information and viewpoints. We support advocacy efforts to increase funding for research to identify a biomarker and find a cure for this devastating disease.
