Logo Design & Visual Brand Identity

Project details

What we need
  • Consultation regarding the Organization's current branding and desired branding objectives
  • Visual branding guidelines / style guide that include specific colors, fonts, and other graphic design elements to use in print and digital communications materials
  • High-resolution logo delivered electronically (in formats for digital and print use)
What we have in place
  • We have several background documents for your review. We also have great partners like IMEC, The Segal Family Foundation and over 20 NGOs that are operating rural hospitals / clinics in the developing world.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to Operate 20 ultrasound village outreach programs for mothers & infants.

We are now developing our first website and need a logo / brand identity primarily for that. Our partners also request logos to highlight our support.

Our mission

To improve the quality of healthcare available to poor, underserved mothers, infants and children in rural or peri-urban areas of sub-Saharan Africa.

What we do

The Gould Family Foundation Fund for Maternal Newborn Health (MNH) Clinics provides grants to qualified NGOs, in the developing world, to support prenatal screening, clean safe deliveries and post delivery care for mother and infant. Our grants fund MNH supporting equipment like ultrasound machines, exam-delivery tables, OB-GYN instruments, neonatal resuscitation kits, sterilizers and incubators.

The first step in our process is to identify prospective grant recipients. We want to ensure that they have an established functioning clinic - the physical structure is in place, they have sufficient power, water and sanitary conditions and it is properly staffed with trained doctors and nurses. An equipment training and maintenance plan is required. An existing community health worker – midwife program is a strong positive.

All of our prospective grantees have been previously funded by well regarded organizations like the Segal Family Foundation or the Izumi Foundation. Consequently, we are able to focus our qualification process on the hospital - clinic area.

We partner with a non-profit called IMEC. They have successfully equipped or upgraded over 1000 hospitals or clinics in over 90 countries in the developing world. They are the leader in this area. IMEC performs an assessment with the rural hospital or clinic to determine the exact equipment and supply needs. The assessment will result in a list of suites and a corresponding budget (the contribution request). IMEC is able to deliver great value through the use of humanitarian discounts for new equipment (i.e.; ultrasound), use of quality and tested used equipment and volunteer labor to procure, package and deliver the medical suites. For more information about IMEC: www.imecamerica.org.

Our priority is to fund rural clinics and hospitals focused on serving the poor in underserved, rural areas of developing countries.
