What We Need
- Ongoing HR support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
- Support may include: hiring, compensation & benefits, HR policy & procedure, performance management, and/or workplace culture
- Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working. For this project, we also recommend working with a volunteer who is knowledgeable about the Organization's state policies
Additional Details
We are looking for an HR volunteer to administer our Catchafire posting, screen candidate, reply to them and ask for additional information before submitting the application to the hiring manager.
You will volunteer 30mn every day and the tasks are the following:
- Login to the Catchafire Platform
- Review Applications
- Respond to Screen out volunteer (Minors, International, non qualified...)
- Select Time for Screening
- Request Resume/Linkedin profile from candidate
What We Have In Place
- We currently have have recruiter accounts available in Catchafire, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an ATS System, iCIMS,, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $1,955 , allowing us to provide instruction to an additional 20 students.
Organizing the recruitment of our volunteer is vital for the supply of the needed workforce for our organization

JerseySTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math ("STEM") education to 5th-8th grade girls in New Jersey underserved communities
We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities.
Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online afterschool projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.

Reduce the gender gap in STEM participation;
Bridge the innovation gap in STEM education by introducing novel formats for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math;
Address the opportunity gap by expanding access to STEM programs in underserved communities.
