Project details
What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details
Hello! Great Lakes Community Conservation Corps is an awesome organization, but our handbooks (we have two types of "empoloyees") need some work, and the task is too daunting for me alone.
Staff - part-time and full-time staff, this handbook is actually digestable.
Corpsmember - This is the one which needs the most help, mostly needs to be streamlined and clarified (overlapping and sometimes conflicting policies).
What we have in place
- We currently have two handbooks (staff and corpsmember), which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have various forms referenced in the handbooks (time off request), and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to better prepare our Veteran and young adult (18-20) clients for their futures.
Reviewing and revising the handbooks will instill confidence in the staff that our policies are sound, help our clients (corpsmembers) understand our expectations, and clarify what we can expect of each other.

Our mission
Leverage resources among Great Lakes communities to train and educate disadvantaged populations for credentials that close the skills gap, improve water quality, build habitat, grow the legacy of the original Civilian Conservation Corps of the 1930s and make the region more competitive in the global economy.
