Website Set Up (CMS-Based)
Website Set Up (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Set up of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS) like Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: We recommend that you do a Website Content Plan project first, so that you have all the content ready for your new CMS-based site. A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily - no coding required!
Additional details
Currently, one page of our website is set up on Wordpress, and the rest is on a discontinued platform and needs to be migrated over to Wordpress. We have wireframing done, and content gathered. We just need an expert to make it a fully functioning site!
What we have in place
- We currently have a wireframe completed, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have all content gathered, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to distribute more than $170,000 worth of free supplies to classrooms, and setting our organization up to support many thousands of teachers for years to come.
Our website is vital to our daily operations, and we're currently unable to make updates on most of the site, which means we're stuck sharing outdated and incomplete information. We need an engaging site that lets the community know all the fun ways they can get involved, makes it easy to support our work through online sales, and showcases creative reuse inspiration for teachers both local and across the world.

Our mission
The Welman Project is on a mission to fill a classroom, not a landfill. Through creative repurposing of surplus business waste, we give teachers the tools and support they need to provide vital hands-on learning opportunities to every student.
What we do
Our programs include:
- A teacher warehouse full of unlimited free materials and curriculum-enhancing creative reuse ideas
- A retail store for makers and families to get affordable arts and craft supplies and support local artists
- A makerspace with tools and workshops that empower everyone to explore their creativity.
