What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
What we have in place
  • We currently have a story bank, a list of potential organizations and professionals who'd be willing to share their stories, and also a dedicated Marketing Manager (me!) who's able to provide you with any additional information.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to tinue to improve our service for 3000 social good organizations in our community.

Catchafire has been around for almost 5 years and we've worked with some incredible nonprofits and volunteers. The projects that our community has worked on has been even more impressive. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to tell these stories to their full capacity. Having a professional storyteller help us create a template to capture memorable and powerful stories would be a huge win. With your help, we'll be able to compellingly tell the world about the powerful work our professionals and nonprofits have accomplished together.

  • Professional presents and discusses primary story angle(s) to the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager facilitates interviews between Professional and individuals willing to share their story (if applicable)

Our mission

Catchafire's mission is to improve my new skills by working with different people. Thus also, allow me to organise other nonprofit and social enterprise. This mission is useful because it can develop my self by organisations.

What we do

We connect professionals who want to volunteer their skills with nonprofits & social enterprises that need their help.

We believe in providing efficient, effective, and meaningful volunteer experiences for both volunteers and the organizations with whom they work. We believe that a good volunteer experience can transform someone's life, and we also know that a bad one can turn someone away from giving their time forever.

We match volunteers and organizations based on a variety of characteristics including skills, cause interests, and time availability.

We help organizations identify their needs as short-term, discrete, and individual-based projects. Our projects are structured in this way to make it easy for professionals to find time to volunteer in the midst of their busy daily lives. Check out our projects here.

We charge nonprofits and social enterprises less than a small percentage of the cost that they would normally pay for the professional services our volunteers provide. Our service is free for all professionals willing to donate their time. We also help corporations offer our skills-based volunteer opportunities for their employees.
