Event Concept & Plan
Event Concept & Plan
Project details
What we need
- 3-5 one hour calls with an events professional covering topics like concept, general structure, logistics, and target attendees
- A written summary of topics discussed, including event concept and theme, general plan, estimated budget (optional), and articulated goals (feel free to use this template as a starting point)
- Note: This project does not include on-site event coordination or support on the day of the event
Additional details
We have our premier fundraising event for First Tee - Greater San Antonio - the Texas Mutual Invitational. This year it will be October 5th (Concert) and October 9th (Golf Tournament). In year one we raised $135K (net $65K) and in year two we raised $218k (net $110K) at the same facility by changing a few things and adding some more people. We are at an inflection point - do we go bigger which means spending more money or do we stay at current facility and find more ways to increase funds.
What we have in place
- We currently have our budget and worksheets from the past two years, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have detailed run of show and outline of the current show, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to strategically plan the best course forward for this event!
It will let us know if we should stay at the current format or if we are looking to go to the next level what that will look like - expenses will definitely go up and understanding how much additional will need to be raised to generate as much as possible for the First Tee

Our mission
First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skill curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do.
