Project details

What we need
  • A thorough analysis of the current fundraising strategy and tactics
  • Clear fundraising targets for the next 2-4 years, tied to the organization's operating budget and program goals
  • Strategic planning around which tactics to should pursue (e.g., grants, crowdfunding, e-giving, direct mail, events, and galas), and audiences to target (e.g., individual, major donor groups, foundations, corporations, or government)
  • Clear timelines to help the organization execute on the proposed tactics
Additional details

A familiarity with the local Philanthropic landscape (Philadelphia, or Mid-Atlantic region) would be helpful, but not mandatory.

What we have in place
  • We have a Financial Sustainability Plan, as part of our 10-year Strategic Plan, and support from both the Holy Redeemer Health System's Development and Marketing/Public Relations Departments.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,500 , allowing us to multiply 125 exisitng supporters and benefit over 450 families annually.

The needs of homeless women and children are increasing; for those already in poverty, the slow economic recovery has not yet been felt. To sustain our many programs that benefit the most vulnerable homeless families of Philadelphia, Drueding Center needs your help to pursue and increase the sources and amount of funds, particularly among private individuals and companies. While some improvements have been made, such as a growing signature annual event and increased grant funding, By developing a more robust, comprehensive fundraising program, you will usher our agency towards financially self-sustainability.

Our mission

Care, Comfort and Heal

What we do

As Philadelphia's first transitional housing program for women and children, Drueding Center has developed a comprehensive program that meets the needs of both generations of our young families. Our services span a wide spectrum, including case management, clinical counseling, life skills education, and concrete needs like our Green Light Pantry featuring healthy fresh choices. While mothers work on employment and educational goals, their children are cared for on-site in a licensed child-care center.

We acknowledge that healing takes time and preserve our families' achievements through an extensive After Care program, providing an additional 7 years of follow-up support. Simply put, it works; 100% of our families actively engaged in After Care maintain permanent housing three years after exiting our program.
