Brand Messaging
Brand Messaging
Project details
What we need
- Document that articulates in a consistent voice key messages about the Organization’s identity, constituents, mission, and vision
- Creation of taglines and talking points to help the Organization communicate clearly and concisely
- Recommendations on tailoring messaging for common communication channels (e.g., website copy, printed marketing collateral, pitching verbally)
What we have in place
- We have clearly defined program goals structured around a logic model. We have a lot of visual documentation of our programs and many written materials describing what we do. We have been using social media for several years and that may be useful for this process. Finally, we have a small staff eager to meet and provide input.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,600 , allowing us to bring together 1 professional artist with up to 10 youth artists for a semester-long session.
Urbano works at the intersection of creative youth development, arts education, contemporary art, and social justice. We work with a wide variety of constituents including youth, artists, funders, civic leaders, schools, and community partners. We need to be able to talk about our work in a simple, concise way that will be compelling to everyone.
Project plan
Our mission
Founded in 2009, Urbano Project (Urbano) brings together urban teens and professional artists from across Boston to ignite social change through participatory works of contemporary art and performance.
What we do
Our work is based in collaboration, risk-taking, border crossing, and social justice. We support Boston Public Schools students and recent graduates as they come together weekly to build skills, knowledge, and collaborative relationships with professional artists. Together, they produce ambitious works of interdisciplinary art and performance. Home base is our exhibition and studio space in Jamaica Plain’s Brewery Complex, but youth artists take their work far beyond, experimenting with artistic interventions that can spark and reshape public discourse. Our program objectives are to offer youth high-quality contemporary arts education experiences, impact creative youth development, develop a corps of positively engaged youth who serve as leaders in their communities, and promote civic engagement through public, participatory art that addresses the social justice issues of our times.
