Additional details
We have a Marathon Celebration on April 29 to thank our runners and their donors. It would be wonderful to have a multimedia piece/slideshow/PPT of images of our runners on race day to share at this event.
What we have in place
- We currently have branded singlets to help pick our runners out from the crowd, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a designated meet-up place on the course where staff can help point out our runners, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,048 , allowing us to provide hoarding intervention services for 4 people in danger of losing their housing due to hoarding behavior.
We need someone to photograph our Boston Marathon team while they are running on Marathon Monday (April 20). Each year, hundreds of donors give to our agency because someone they know is running the Boston Marathon in support of MBHP. Your photos will help us leverage these donor relationships into a long-term commitments, bringing in more donor dollars to help fund our important work.
Project plan
Our mission
Our mission is to ensure that the region's low- and moderate-income individuals and families have choice and mobility in finding and retaining decent, affordable housing. All our programs are designed to encourage housing stability, increase economic self-sufficiency, and enhance the quality of the lives of those we serve. To achieve our mission, we work collaboratively with a board array of service providers and neighborhood-based organizations. The state's largest regional provider of rental housing voucher assistance, we serve homeless, elderly, disabled, and low- and moderate-income individuals and families.
What we do
MBHP helps people who are homeless, on the brink of homelessness, or stably housed and looking to stay that way. Our goals is to end homelessness through housing. We are the largest regional provider of rental assistance on Massachusetts, helping make rent affordable for more than 8,800 households. We also administer programs that help people avoid homelessness so they don't have to enter the shelter system. We work with people who cannot afford market rent, people who are elderly or disabled, people who are discriminated against, and people who have nowhere else to turn. Our caring, dedicated staff does whatever possible to help each person who comes to us get the help they need.
