Storytelling
Project details
What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
What we have in place
- We currently have many stories and symbols, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have story tellers and real life experiences, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to give clearer talks/print materials, radio ads to 200 funders, insurance, professions in the field, haumana (students), volunteers, students.
Our story is unique and comes from cultural ancestors whose wisdom is healing. We need someone who can help us better share the story in everything and every person we talk to. We have amazing stories and need help in capturing the theme that every story connects with and to be able to become recognizable for our cutting edge approach based on science and ancient wisdom of Native cultures. We would love to work with a Master story writer/teller to guide us in communicating who we are.

Our mission
Ku Aloha Ola Mau restores meaningful, healthy lives for individuals and families coping with substance abuse.
What we do
Ku Aloha Ola Mau provides a wholistic approach to the treatment and recovery of people and their families to achieve not only successful recovery but to also heal from the trauma of addiction. We believe each haumana (means "student" in Hawaiian) is special and important and that the healing starts with connecting with them and sharing our "Aloha". The agency has three sites- two are medication assisted treatment centers and one is based primarily on Native Hawaiian cultural traditions, chants, genealogy, healing and practices whose outcomes meet and mostly exceed State averages. The spiritual foundation of this program has been integrated with all our programs. Everyone is worthy and Ku Aloha is a safe, loving place to heal. We have been in business for 38 years and have much to share with our community.
