Project details

What we need
  • A written analysis of the Organization's position in the community it serves and its ability to address identified needs/problems for its beneficiaries
  • A summary of the Organization's strengths and weaknesses, related to its program goals as needed
  • A summary of competitors or potential collaborators
  • An appendix of all data gathered to perform analysis, including sources
What we have in place
  • We currently have vision/mission statements and a good sense of stakeholders, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have research about other organizations in our field, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,868 , allowing us to bring smiles to the faces and meaningful experiences into the lives of 500 people living with dementia and those who love them.

We are a 1 1/2-year-old arts- and human services-oriented organization with an excruciatingly lean budget, one professional staff member and a cadré of devoted volunteers. We think we're pretty intimate with our target audience(s), but on the road to drafting a business plan, we need to have a more concrete, accurate sense of our "market." Enter this project, which we hope will equip us to plan and strategize more intelligently, allowing us to better serve our stakeholders.

Our mission

ARTZ Philadelphia was founded on the belief that people living with dementia should be accorded the benefits of well-being and quality of life that others enjoy. We offer opportunities for interactions around arts and culture that turn this belief into reality. Our mission is to provide opportunities for self-expression and for the rebuilding of self-esteem and dignity to people with dementia and those who care for them. We achieve this mission through evidence-based programs that connect people living with dementia and their care partners with artists and cultural organizations; with each other; and with neighbors who live with or without dementia.

What we do

ARTZ Philadelphia was founded in 2013 with the purpose of enhancing the cultural and creative life of people living with dementias of all kinds. We foster a sense of creative community among people living with dementia and their care partners; and work to restore to people living with dementia their rightful place as valued members of our wider creative community.

We do this through arts-based programs for our constituents that take place in arts and culture venues and in care facilities throughout the greater Philadelphia area (and beyond!). We look at art together, we talk about art together, we make art together... all as a way of engaging with each other and building community.

Testimonials

Can't say enough good things about Kristin (and I have already said quite a few in a separate post I just wrote)! Organized, insightful, skilled, expert, and caring. Oh yeah, and a really good sense of humor, to boot!
