Project details

What we need
  • Consultation regarding the Organization's current branding and desired branding objectives
  • Visual branding guidelines / style guide that include specific colors, fonts, and other graphic design elements to use in print and digital communications materials
  • High-resolution logo delivered electronically (in formats for digital and print use)
Additional details

Would be great to have practical advice about the best ways to utilize our new visual identity, given that our outreach is mostly digital at this point.

What we have in place
  • We have a detailed questionnaire filled out for a prior volunteer who had to resign from the project. We also have some fairly concrete ideas about what we'd like to see and some specific artistic influences in mind. Finally, we have a clear brand message to work from, which should help get us started.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,422 , allowing us to run more than 25 programs for people living with dementia.

We have recently completed a brand messaging project and now need to create a visual identity based on our newly-renovated brand. We have a logo we've used for business cards that has worked nicely for that purpose, but what we need now is a more coherent, flexible visual identity as a whole. As an organization that is all about the power of the arts (especially visual arts), it is absolutely vital that we be able to communicate visually to maximum effect.

Project plan

P

  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect to discuss the branding goals, target audience, and preferred design elements
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree upon a style concept and the detailed scope of deliverables (e.g., logo, custom graphics, updated style guide, new style guide, etc.)
2
Milestone 2: Logo Design
  • Professional drafts up to three different logo designs and shares with the Volunteer Manager for feedback
  • Volunteer Manager selects one of the design options and provides feedback
  • Professional iterates upon the design for final delivery, including versions of the logo for different uses (e.g., black & white, full color, and formats for print and digital use)
  • Professional delivers the final version of the logo including specifications for usage (colors, size, etc.)
3
Milestone 3: Visual Branding Guidelines / Style Guide
  • Professional drafts the visual branding guidelines, which features the logo design and a specific set of colors, fonts, and any custom graphic elements to be incorporated in future communications
  • Volunteer Manager reviews the draft guidelines and provides feedback
  • Professional incorporates feedback and prepares the final version
  • If custom graphics are included in the agreed-upon scope of work, the Professional provides them in high-resolution formats for digital and print use

Our mission

ARTZ Philadelphia was founded on the belief that people living with dementia should be accorded the benefits of well-being and quality of life that others enjoy. We offer opportunities for interactions around arts and culture that turn this belief into reality. Our mission is to provide opportunities for self-expression and for the rebuilding of self-esteem and dignity to people with dementia and those who care for them. We achieve this mission through evidence-based programs that connect people living with dementia and their care partners with artists and cultural organizations; with each other; and with neighbors who live with or without dementia.

What we do

ARTZ Philadelphia was founded in 2013 with the purpose of enhancing the cultural and creative life of people living with dementias of all kinds. We foster a sense of creative community among people living with dementia and their care partners; and work to restore to people living with dementia their rightful place as valued members of our wider creative community.

We do this through arts-based programs for our constituents that take place in arts and culture venues and in care facilities throughout the greater Philadelphia area (and beyond!). We look at art together, we talk about art together, we make art together... all as a way of engaging with each other and building community.
