Brand Messaging
Brand Messaging
Project details
What we need
- Document that articulates in a consistent voice key messages about the Organization’s identity, constituents, mission, and vision
- Creation of taglines and talking points to help the Organization communicate clearly and concisely
- Recommendations on tailoring messaging for common communication channels (e.g., website copy, printed marketing collateral, pitching verbally)
What we have in place
- We have a website, Facebook page, press releases, fundraising letters, and donor thank-you letters that have been used to describe SAAC and promote our programs.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,600 , allowing us to "fix" 100 dogs and cats belonging to low-income families.
SAAC is a small, 100% volunteer-run nonprofit. Up until now we have relied largely on government grants, but these grants are becoming limited and we must build a fundraising program to attract individual donors and companies. We cannot build this program without a solid messaging platform that represents our strengths and defines our impact on our community. It will foster consistency and build brand recognition in a community crowded with animal-related nonprofits. It will also provide an essential tool for board members who have limited time: a go-to document for all fundraising, marketing, donor stewardship, media, and board recruitment materials.
Project plan
Our mission
The Sacramento Area Animal Coalition (SAAC) is committed to eliminating companion animal overpopulation in the Sacramento area through aggressive spay-neuter efforts, humane education, community outreach and networking.
What we do
The Sacramento Area Animal Coalition is a non-profit, charitable organization with 501(c)(3) status. We provide low-cost spay/neuter through the following three programs:
* The Voucher Program operates year-round, helping low-income pet owners obtain spay/neuter surgeries at participating veterinary clinics for a small co-payment.
* The Feral Cat Assistance Program provides low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for people who care for feral cat colonies.
* Spay Day is an annual event held in February for low-income pet owners.
