Project details
What we need
The Family Engagement Institute (FEI) has a basic graphic illustrating our model that doesn't represent our complex logic model. We seek to create an infographic which represents our impact on educational systems in a clear and visual manner for potential donors and stakeholders interested in our work. We need:
- The ability to communicate complex information using an easily interpretable visual aid.
- We need a designer to take our raw materials and translate them into an infographic.
What we have in place
- We currently have a logic model, a basic visual model, and brand materials, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have examples of infographics that we like, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,607 , allowing us to provide fieldtrips to Foothill College for 1000 children, youth, and families, many of whom have never been on a college campus before.
FEI does powerful systems-change work that is sometimes difficult to communicate and having an infographic that represents our work in a visually appealing and simplified way would help to tell our story more effectively to potential donors, partners, and other stakeholders. We anticipate using this document as part of our fundraising efforts.
Project plan
Our mission
The Family Engagement Institute bridges educational inequalities by providing opportunities that strengthen the capacity of families, schools and communities, working together to ensure the success of all students from early childhood through college.
What we do
The Family Engagement Institute (FEI), in partnership with Foothill College, provides continued educational opportunities that increase family involvement, leadership and pathways to postsecondary education.
Founded in February of 2010, FEI partners with San Mateo and Santa Clara County-based educational institutions and community organizations that serve children, youth and families of low income to deliver workshop series to families, professional development to providers and educators, and a spring/summer intensive kindergarten readiness program, Stretch to Kindergarten, which cultivates strong, enduring partnerships among families, schools and the community to give children of low income the skills and support to successfully transition into kindergarten.
Testimonials
Megan has successfully completed projects for our organization, Family Engagement Institute, including very impressive graphic designs of an infographic and framework. We were so impressed by Megan’s work through her volunteer project that we hired her to design our organization’s Framework project among others. Her design style is simple, clean and clear. She's also easy to work with and a very pleasant and professional individual. It has been a pleasure working with Megan!
Elvia Navarro and Betsy Nikolchev were wonderful to work with- even with little experience working with creatives, they provided more than enough information and kept me well informed of what they were looking for every step of the way.
