Project details
What we need
imMEDIAte Justice is an organization that teaches girls sex ed and filmmaking. We are looking for a designer who can help us make anti-rape underwear similar to the pinklovesconsent.com campaign. We want a designer who is familiar with feminist and pop culture images that can be incorporated into the underwear designs with the message, "I Heart Consent." The style should be hip, fun, and quirky. We would love to hear your design pitch for our new underwear!
NOTE: Printing and vendor sourcing is not included
What we have in place
- We currently have a t-shirt manufacturing contact. We also have design savvy staff members willing to give feedback and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,422 , allowing us to serve 50 underresourced girls.
imMEDIAte Justice works to create safe and empowering spaces for young women to use their creativity for change. We will be launching a new hashtag campaign called #AskABossLady which will inspire young people to tweet questions to women they admire. We want to create really cool T-shirts that say "BOSS LADY" to give to youth participants and supporters.
Project plan
Our mission
imMEDIAte Justice is a summer program that empowers young women to share their experience of reproductive justice through film. With film mentors, young women write & direct films that offer a fresh take on sexual health education.
What we do
The focus for the imMEDIAte Justice summer program is to create positive sexuality education films by girls. We envision sexual education as an inclusive, exploratory, youth-driven process that utilizes new media as a tool to share and safely access information. Our online community, CALIBODYPOLITIX, keeps young women informed about reproductive health and justice in California with the largest network of national and local reproductive health resources for youth.
The program and retreats foster positive self-image, supportive female alliances and media literacy skills, as participants graduate through a two-tier leadership development program that increases their influence as filmmakers and leaders of the next generation of women.
