Project details

What we need
  • Creation of an E-Newsletter from scratch, or an overhaul of an existing one
  • Training on how to input content into a template
Additional details

It would be great if you could help us either design the newsletter or advise us on which resources to use to actually design the template and manage the mailing.

What we have in place
  • We currently have e-newsletter outline and donor list, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have dedicated staff & lots of great content to share, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to move closer to our goals of 2000 contributors in our sustainable crowdfunding campaign.

The success of our organization depends on ability to communicate key updates on our work. Without your help, we cannot keep our list of past donors engaged and up to speed. Your skills will empower us to expand our programs into new countries in Africa.

Our mission

To provide innovative education programs to disadvantaged youth in South Africa. We specialize in Model UN, marimba music education and academic scholarships. Help us empower South Africa's youth!

What we do

Established in 1992, Education Africa strives to reach and uplift the poorest of the poor. We aim to assist disadvantaged South Africans in their quest to obtain a quality, relevant education in order to ensure that they are in a position to become global citizens and a competitive, productive element in the local job market. Education Africa aims for an educated nation which in turn will lead to a progressive nation that is in a position to sustain economic growth.

Education Africa acknowledges that it will take decades to rectify the wrongs of Apartheid and restore the balance in the South African education system. Indeed, the re-establishment of a culture of learning and teaching in South Africa is very much a work in progress. We are driven by our guiding principles: “Making real change Happen” by implementing “Poverty alleviation through Education”.

Recent developments have resulted in a new growth strategy for the organisation, which includes a number of our successful projects being adapted as social franchises for expansion into other African countries. Please refer to our Project Portfolio on our website for more information on our projects.

Testimonials

Stephen was an excellent volunteer and is an incredible professional! He provided us with an e-newsletter template that we can use for years to come and used his communications expertise to help us strategize around our content and delivery. He was generous with his time and we are so grateful. Thanks to Stephen, we successfully sent our first e-newsletter in over 2 years. Thank you Stephen!
