What we need
  • An assessment of Organization's IT infrastructure including costs, speed, reliability and security
  • Advice on various IT services and the cost-benefit associated with each option
  • Potentially more efficient and secure services
  • Note: This does not include tech systems set up or implementation
What we have in place
  • We currently have a website, CRM database, and some limited hardware, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a Board and staff invested in improving our tech footprint, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,001 , allowing us to provide opportunities for 100 children and youth to learn and perform through music and the arts.

The success of our organization depends on utilizing technology to complement and improve our program. Without your help, we cannot amplify our impact through music and the arts. Your skills will empower us to go to scale and serve more Haitian children than ever before.

Our mission

Hope on a String is a grassroots nonprofit organization seeking to foster an environment of social transformation and economic development in Haiti through participation in music.

What we do

We firmly believe in the power of music to bring people together and build the bonds of community. In the context of Haitian culture, the role of music in achieving these goals is particularly strong. As such, we operate a community center in the rural town of Corail, Arcahaie where we run programming consisting of two key initiatives: a Music Engagement Program where people gather to learn, participate, and celebrate through music and Resource Center where our participants receive information, training, and support for targeted development initiatives. In our model, social transformation is catalyzed through community engagement in music and takes shape with empowered individuals collectively addressing the issue areas that are fundamental to Haiti's reconstruction.
