Mission

The Tibet Fund’s mission is to preserve the distinct cultural and national identity of the Tibetan people. For 30 years, under the patronage of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, The Tibet Fund has been the primary funding organization for health care, education, refugee rehabilitation, religious and cultural preservation, elder care and community and economic development programs serving more than 140,000 Tibetan refugees living in India, Nepal and Bhutan.

What We Do

Over its 28-year history, The Tibet Fund has impacted the lives of tens of thousands of these Tibetan refugees, from the moment they first arrive at a reception center and into their elder years. Our comprehensive grants and programs have saved lives, improved the quality of life in the settlements, provided health, educational and economic programs, and helped to preserve the cultural and religious heritage of Tibet.
