Mission

The Family Giving Tree fulfills the exact holiday wishes and provides backpacks filled with school supplies to those children in the most need in our communities while inspiring the values of kindness, philanthropy and volunteerism.

What We Do

The Family Giving Tree leads two annual donation drives to support Bay Area children living in need: A Back-to-School Drive and Holiday Wish Drive.

Our Back-to-School drive is on-plan to deliver 40,000 backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies children need to learn and succeed in school.
Our Holiday Wish drive fulfills the exact holiday wishes to around 80,000 low-income children and their families while serving over 300 agencies each drive we hold.

The Family Giving Tree is all donation based. We are very grateful to work with Drive Leaders! Drive Leaders are a group - a business, school, family, social club or friends who have decided to help children-in-need in the community. Drive Leaders are in charge of facilitating wish cards and backpack tags, they will collect all gifts and backpack supplies and deliver them The Family Giving Tree warehouse.
