Mission
Team IMPACT is a national non-profit that connects children facing serious and chronic illnesses with local college athletic teams, forming lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes.
What We Do
Team IMPACT serves children 5-15, who have been diagnosed with more than 50 conditions including, but not limited to: cancer, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, and muscular dystrophy. These children are officially "drafted" onto a college sports team for two years and become official members of the team - attending practices, games, team dinners, and more. Throughout the journey, the child gains strength, camaraderie, and support, while the student-athletes experience lessons of courage, resilience, and perspective they can't learn in a classroom. As a result, these children live life beyond their illness and experience measurable improvements in their confidence, optimism, and sense of belonging. In addition, families benefit from a much needed sense of normalcy, excitement, and purpose that had previously taken a back seat to the child's illness and treatment plan.
