Mission

St. Francis House is a nonsectarian, nonprofit daytime shelter providing basic and rehabilitative services to help homeless adults establish lives independent of shelters and institutions. Our goal is to provide everything our guests need to reclaim their dignity and rebuild their lives. Vocational rehabilitation, in particular, is a strategic institutional goal, focused on helping guests re-enter the workforce and positively engage with the world, strengthening themselves and the community.

What We Do

At St. Francis House, we understand that people can’t think about making big life changes when they’re cold, hungry, and hurting. So we provide basic services – nutritious meals, showers, clothing, access to medical care – that alleviate people’s suffering. Then, when guests are ready, they can utilize our wide array of rehabilitative services, such as counseling, art therapy, vocational rehabilitation, and housing services. We provide all of this under one roof, so guests can focus on moving forward, not moving from place to place. Our goal is to help all of our guests reach their potential and lead satisfying lives independent of shelters and institutions.
