MissionCreate jobs for people with barriers to employment.
What We DoRecovery Park was established in 2010 as a non-profit 501(c)(3). Its mission is to create jobs for people with barriers to employment. This is accomplished by incubating for-profit business models, specifically in the food sector. Recovery Park has a unique social mission which affects the Detroit economy in several ways. Recovery Park:
* creates jobs for local residents who have experienced previous barriers to viable employment,
* repurposes vacant land in the City of Detroit in an effort to restore vibrant neighborhoods to their former status, and
* currently, through its for-profit subsidiary Recovery Park Farms, provides restaurants with healthy, Farm-to-Table, top-quality lettuces and greens.
