Mission

Farmers Against Hunger's mission is to rescue, by donation or volunteer gleaning, produce from farms or warehouse distributers that would otherwise go to waste. FAH then donates the rescued produce to hunger relief organizations across the state of NJ via our 3 box trucks. We rescue and donate over 1.5 millions lbs of produce yearly, with a staff of only 4-5 and around 1,000 volunteers. In addition to food donation, we regularly hold outreach events and also conduct cooking and nutrition seminars for elementary schools in NJ in the off season.
