Mission

The National School Climate Center (NSCC) is an organization that helps schools integrate crucial social and emotional learning with academic instruction to enhance student performance, prevent drop outs, reduce physical violence, bullying, and develop healthy and positively engaged adults.

NSCC's mission is to measure and improve the climate for learning in schools to help children realize their fullest potential as individuals and as engaged members of society.

What We Do

Since 1996, NSCC has worked with the entire community - educators, administrators, students, and parents - to improve the climate for learning at schools. Our vision is that all children will develop the essential social, emotional, and intellectual skills to become healthy and productive citizens.

We reach this goal through:
- Advocacy & policy
- Measurement & research
- Educational Services

NSCC provides schools with concrete, research-based supports that engage the entire community in a process of whole school improvement. From our national bully prevention campaign, BullyBust, to our expert policy and practice services, NSCC is a leading school climate reform organization in the field.

In the last year alone, NSCC's BullyBust campaign has provided free bully prevention resources to more than 500,000 students in over 1200 schools nationwide. Our education and measurement tools have helped support school climate reform at thousands of schools across the country.
