The Housatonic Community College Foundation was created in 1990 by a group of area residents, business and art leaders to assist the college and its students beyond the fundamentals provided by the state. This group sought to help the college grow as a unique educational resource for its students and the community. The Foundation serves as a vehicle generating funds for Housatonic student scholarships, academic and certificate programs. In addition, funds are raised for student books, exam fees, transportation and emergency assistance. The Foundation also supports the Housatonic Museum of Art and its collection, educational programs and exhibits.
