Educators For Excellence works to ensure that the voices of classroom teachers are included in the decisions that affect our profession and our students.

What We Do

For far too long, education policy has been created without a critical voice at the table - the voice of classroom teachers. Educators 4 Excellence, a teacher-led and student-focused organization, is changing this dynamic by placing the voices and ideas of teachers at the forefront of the conversations that shape our classrooms and careers.

E4E works to unite educators around policies that place student achievement first. Through E4E, member educators learn about public-policy issues related to education reform with the latest news, research, and other information about current education policies and practices via our weekly newsletter, our blog, and our website. E4E hosts a series of policy and networking events where teachers can network with like-minded educators and share their voices with education policymakers. Finally, E4E helps members take action around issues affecting the teaching profession and student outcomes.

Launched by two New York teachers in fall 2010, we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with over 3,500 members nationwide, two chapters in New York and Los Angeles, and a current staff of 10. For more information, please visit Educators4Excellence.org.
