Mission

The mission of the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut is to support and strengthen the arts, historical and cultural organizations and individuals through collaboration and coordination to further economic development in the ten town Housatonic Valley region (the "region") consisting of Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, New Milford, Redding, Ridgefield, and Sherman.

What We Do

The Cultural Alliance represents a 10-town region and works tirelessly to support the arts and culture sector, especially through this pandemic. We are an information center for crucial Covid-19 resources, relief efforts, and tools to rebuild. We're providing guidance - through a new initiative called Walk In their Shoes, to help arts leaders navigate issues related to equity and justice. As a 'backbone' organization, the Cultural Alliance is determined to empower and raise awareness about the arts as partners for the economy and our way of life.
