Cara Chicago's mission is to prepare and inspire motivated individuals to break the cycles of homelessness and poverty, transform their lives, strengthen our communities and forge paths to real and lasting success.
What We Do
The Cara Program was founded in 1991 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Tom Owens. Its goal is to prepare and inspire individuals affected by homelessness and poverty to transform their lives and strengthen their communities. Since its beginning, The Cara Program has helped more than 4,800 individuals find quality, permanent employment. In addition to receiving exceptional job training, individuals in The Cara Program are given the skills and confidence needed to obtain and sustain quality jobs, continue their education, and find stable housing. http://www.thecaraprogram.org/
