What did Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative want to talk about?

A group of NGOs wants to know more about how to leverage our employee numbers to obtain employee health insurance that is better, less expensive and more stable than what we get on our own.

Additional Context

Providing employee health insurance is increasingly difficult for a large group of nonprofits here in northern New Jersey, although we all feel that it's imperative we do so.

We would like to be connected to an insurance/benefits professional who could help us determine a strategy for somehow working as a group to negotiate better terms, but aren't really sure where to start. We are reluctant to reach out to PEOs or individual insurance brokers because we want information that isn't biased toward one product or company.

Reporting directly to the CEO, I have restructured the benefits programs within the organization, negotiated related contracts and implemented new pre-screening processes and procedures.
