Mill River Wetland Committee, Inc. (MRWC)

The purpose of Mill River Wetland Committee is to strengthen environmental science education and develop general public understanding of river basin systems.

What did Anne need?

We are celebrating our 50th year of providing watershed environmental science education to the students in our community (River-Lab), advocating for the environment and engaging the community at large in environmental concerns. We need help to communicate what we do to our stakeholders and to a broader audience in our Annual Report. This project will help increase awareness what we do and then translate to increased donors and volunteers to continue our mission.

Anne was clear about expectations and easy to work with.

What did Maisa have to offer?

I'd like to use my writing skill to write a compelling, clear report that will further a great organization. I am currently a freelance writer for a theater site, I have several years experience writing marketing collateral in my last position at Thomson Reuters, and I also have experience writing research papers from law school.

Maisa did a fantastic job of taing very wordy content and distilling it down to easily readable succinct copy for the new look of our annual report. She listened to the vision we expressed and was able to translate that into the content that was interesting for all our stakeholders.
