Mission

The Writers Room has for more than three decades provided writers, living or working in NYC, with clean quiet affordable desk space. We provide workspace to writers at any phase of their vocation: novices and professionals work side-by-side. We welcome any form of the written word equally: novelists, screenwriters, playwrights, journalists, biographers, bloggers, poets and children’s book writers. If it is the written word, we support it.

What We Do

The Writers Room is a work space of 4,000 sq. ft. with over 40 desks that members use on a first-come, first-served basis. The "Room" is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to accommodate all schedules.
