Mission

The Partnership at Drugfree.org helps families prevent, intervene in and find treatment and support for teen drug and alcohol use. The national nonprofit organization offers hope and help to parents of the 11 million teens and young adults who currently need help with drug and alcohol issues.

What We Do

Ninety percent of addictions get their start in the teenage years. The Partnership at Drugfree.org is dedicated to helping families solve the problem of teen substance abuse by helping parents prevent, intervene in or find treatment for drug and alcohol use by their children.

By bringing together renowned scientists, parent experts and communications professionals, the organization translates the science of teen drug use and addiction for families, and at drugfree.org, they find a wealth of information, tools and opportunities to connect with other parents and caregivers who may have a child struggling with addiction.

When parents and families are facing a child’s addiction, it often seems there’s nowhere to turn. The Partnership at Drugfree.org’s You Are Not Alone campaign (www.drugfree.org/youarenotalone) is dedicated to supporting the families of teens and young adults who need addiction treatment. The campaign, which comes to life in a collection of stories, brings together millions who have been directly impacted by addiction with those families who currently have a teen who needs help.

Across the nation via community education programs, The Partnership at Drugfree.org has trained more than 1,500 professionals who are working daily in neighborhoods, schools, civic organizations and churches to deliver programs that can help them prevent teen drug and alcohol abuse in their own communities.
