We need to refresh our Mission and get a new logo for our senior center
What we have in place
- We have a mission and goals written. This has not been reviewed or updated in 26 plus years. As the new Director I would like to review the mission and vision of our nonprofit and explore new ways to define our agency.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to utilize current funds to be used to continue programming while we rebrand our agency and redefine our agency to conti to serve our population and make people in the community more aware of us.

Our mission
The Greater Ishpeming Commission on Aging is a private non-profit corporation that advocates for and provides services to those sixty years and older who reside in the city of Ishpeming, and the townships of Ishpeming, Ely, Tilden, Humboldt, Champion, Michigamme and Republic.
What we do
The goal of our services and programs is to promote the independence, safety, dignity, and well-being of older adults. Services are provided to allow them to remain living independently in their homes and avoid or delay unnecessary placement in long term care facilities.
Provide:
Case Worker Services
Transporation assistance
Medicare and Medicaid Assistance Program
Outreach work
Homemaking and Chores services
Activities in the center include: Cribbage, Mahjong, Pinochle, coffee clutch, Congregate Meals, Art Club, Chair Yoga, Senior Aerobics and more!
